Friday Roundup: July 22

Woohoo! It’s my favourite time of the week, a new Friday Roundup, the countdown to happy hour is near and I’m looking forward to sleeping in this weekend and enjoying the sunshine that has finally hit us. It feels like summer again! This weekend, we are planning to drive to the Othello Tunnels and explore the valley a bit. I plan on making a day trip travel guide in the near future for this one. I also plan to explore the islands, a Seattle travel guide, my Euro guides (really overdue!) and update the Palm Springs section.

We are also going down to Palm Springs in August, I can’t wait to be poolside sipping Pina Coladas! There will be a side trip to San Diego, and in the end, a great travel guide to that city. I have more to add on this in the future, some fun things in the works with local businesses!

I also have a shit load of blogging tasks to complete this weekend! Still behind on my comments, my travel guides, recipes and cocktails and so much more! I find it so hard in the summer to keep up! It must be the nice weather, drinks on patios, walks along the beach that are distracting me haha.

And lately, I’ve retired as my strata council president, couldn’t commit and really just fed up with the complainers, ahem, neighbours. Three years I think was a good commitment and I made so many changes for the better of the building. I also went to a NYX Cosmetics events last weekend, and went home with a 5lb bag full of lipsticks! I also brunched with the girls, went to Theatre Under the Stars (Beauty and the Beast!), celebrated my mom’s birthday and ate cake! It was a busy week, but also dragged by so slowwwwly. Am I right?
What are your plans this weekend? Who else can’t believe it’s August next weekend!? Like holy cow where did this month go? Typing out this post and saving it under July 22, I was thinking to myself, no way it’s that date already!

Thank goodness the long weekend is next week and I have an extra day to myself. Plus Curtis is going to visit friends out of province, so I also get the bed to myself! Woohoo, if you live with someone, you must know what I’m talking about! I can sleep in the middle, take all the covers and no one is snoring, it’s seriously a vacation for me haha.
