Packing for Europe

Hi everyone,

Well with less than a day before we leave, I am finishing up packing for the trip. I’m trying to pack light this time, I am notorious for over-packing and frustrate whoever I’m travelling with. So my strategy this time is to pack light and smart. This includes versatile pieces that can be worn during the day casually or dressed up at night with a few accessories. Below are a few examples of what I will be packing in my suitcase.

1. T-shirts
These are essential, they are comfortable, lightweight, easy to hand wash if necessary and you can pack a few colours.

2. Light long sleeved top
For the chillier days or evenings.

3. Casual sweatshirt
This comes in handy for travelling, lounging in the hotel room or chillier mornings and nights.

4. Classic wash denim
I like a comfortable pair that are versatile. You can wear them rolled up for a boyfriend look or just as is.

5. Black denim
These are great because you can dress them up or down.

6. Casual khakis
Another essential piece, these are comfortable, easy to pack and a nice change from jeans.

7. Sweatpants
I like to bring a pair to either wear on the plane or relax in the hotel room.

8. Trench coat
A great transition piece for spring, it’s lightweight but gives you ample coverage for chilly moments. Plus it’s a great jacket to wear in the evenings to dress up an outfit.

9. Pajamas
This is an obvious one, but oh so necessary. I can’t just wear a t-shirt or sweatpants to bed. Putting on my pajamas is a bedtime ritual and gets me relaxed.

10. Dress
I always pack a dress in my suitcase (or maybe a few). You never know if you want to dress up for a night out or sick of wearing pants.

11. Cross body bag
Great for travel, easy to carry around. I don’t need to worry about straps falling off and gives me both hands back.

12. Clutch
Small piece that will fit into your suitcase with ease. Going with a classic colour like black allows it to match any outfit.

13. Comfy sneakers
Perfect for long days of walking and a fun colour of print is a bonus!

14. Statement earrings
I love these! Such an easy way of dressing up an outfit and doesn’t put a dent in your packing.

15. Necklace
Fun way to accessorize and easy to pack.
