I’m going to share why sunscreen is essential, the different types available, and how to choose the best one for your skin!
U Beauty is most likely a skincare brand you cannot stop hearing about. When I heard the buzz about U Beauty products, a sustainable luxury skincare brand, I couldn’t wait to experience the line. Since trying it out for the last year, I can attest it lives up to the hype. The brand is clean, scientifically proven, cruelty-free, sustainable, and green! U Beauty eliminated many steps and ineffective skincare treatments from my beauty cabinet! Lately, I’ve been drawn to a simpler skincare routine and my skin has been reaping the benefits.
I found my new favourite face mask and I want to share it with everyone! Dans un Jardin reached out a couple of months ago asking if I’d like to try this turmeric face mask out. This was a brand that I’d heard of before but have never tried any of their products. I replied yes, this mask intrigued me. Besides its efficacy, the smell this mask emits is dare I say delicious. Even Curtis who has walked into our bathroom while I’m applying it, has made a remark about how it smells like candy.
I needed a deep conditioner that hydrates but doesn’t weigh my hair down. I wanted something that tamed frizz and flyaways. This was a duo I heard mentioned a few times before trying out. Every review I read (and the instructions on the box, for that matter) made it clear that this was a product you had to use multiple times before seeing results, which I found extremely true. To be honest, I wasn’t mesmerized after the first time I used it (it wasn’t bad, just not game-changing), but after a handful of uses, I noticed my hair felt smoother, […]

Sorry beauty hoarders (myself included), but it’s time for some tough love. I know how much you love the perfect nude lipstick you’ve owned for five years, but it’s time to say goodbye. While it can be tempting to hold on to every last piece of makeup you’ve accumulated over the years, it’s just not the smartest thing to do. Even sentimental pieces, they should go in the trash after so many years. It’s time to grab your makeup bag and a trash can because believe it or not cosmetics do have expiration dates.
Having tested just about every single makeup brand under the sun, I can confidently say that these are the tried-and-true items I find myself packing for my vacations. I like to keep a minimal routine when away, I find that I become more relaxed about what I wear on my face every day while away. Below, you’ll find a list of my favourite everyday makeup products for each category I pack: foundation/concealer, bronzer, brows/mascara, eyeliner, highlighter, lip colour, and even a lip balm. Wow, maybe I am a little high maintenance or what? But this is what I exactly packed […]

And I still love these cleansers (will have an updated list soon with a couple newbies included), but […]

One of my favourite reading spots is in the bathtub. Nothing is better than dropping one of my DIY bath bombs in, grabbing a book or magazine, glass of wine and getting lost in the words for an hour.
