Friday Roundup

friday roundup

friday roundupYeah it’s Friday Roundup! It’s also a long weekend here in BC (Canada), Monday is Family Day. What a week it has been here. The weather is really crappy, rain everyday allllll day. I keep feeling like I’m not getting enough sleep and I wasn’t feeling well for a couple of days. Bring on Spring! I cannot wait for gardens to start blooming, sunshine, wearing my spring clothes and shoes and getting closer to summer. Ahhh patio season, beaches, BBQing, shorts and sundresses. Who else is excited to see the end of winter?

This weekend is full of fun plans for us. Curtis and I plan on experimenting with new cocktail recipes to share on the blog! He picked up hibiscus syrup last night and has come up with a couple of ideas. I also scored a set of vintage coupe glasses at the local thrift shop and Curtis picked up another four at an antique store last weekend. Our bar ware is now bursting in our place with these new pieces and our growing cocktail books and accessories. I have a few new recipes to share on the blog in the upcoming weeks and hope to make this a weekly post.

Tonight we are going to see Yukon Blonde for a friend’s birthday, our engagement party is on Sunday and I have a photo shoot on Tuesday with Luvo. If you haven’t had a chance yet, check out my 8 tips to travel healthy on Luvo’s blog!

And in case you missed it this week here are my recent posts: 10 Healthy Ingredient Swaps, my Nutella Espresso Cheesecake and Six of my Favourite Food Bloggers on Instagram.

hmmmm … for me, I’m not sure that “indulge” and “winter” go in the same sentence 🙂 looking forward to your cocktail recipes – the hibiscus syrup sounds amazing!
