Friday Roundup: April 13

Jericho Beach Vancouver

Hello friends! It’s been a couple of weeks since my last Friday Roundup. Little busy, plus Good Friday was in there (figured everyone was on holiday instead of reading blogs haha) and then forgot about it last week (whoopsie!).

Mostly the last two weeks consisted of work, Easter weekend and a few odd events. The weather was beautiful to pouring rain, so I guess Spring is here in Vancouver haha. Be prepared, there are a lot of photos in this posts since we are doing a big catchup!

We went to Vancouver Fashion Week one night, so many beautiful designs. Jay Alexander from America’s Next Top Model was there too! Afterwards we went to a new place for dinner Di Beppe. I was in heaven! They serve up crostoli with your bill, I used to make this for Christmas with my nonna… hmmm maybe I should do that this year.

Also I got to sample the new brunch buffet at H2 Restaurant at the Westin Bayshore. OMG. So many stations, from congee, to sushi, to rotisserie chicken and a candy station with to-go bags. I was in heaven and washed it all down with their in-house made sodas. Yum!

The Junos were hoted in Vancouver this year and I was lucky enough to be invited to an event hosted by Roots Canada and Sag Aftra at the Vancouver Art Gallery. Not the Junos but nonetheless so fun! It started at 10PM haha and I stayed with Jonathan until 2:30AM. We danced, heard live music, met some artists and went home with some Roots swag.  Also ate breakfast food at midnight, fried chicken and waffles, hashbrowns and other delish bites.

Silk’n hosted an event to share their latest gadgets you can use at home. I went for a microdermabrasion and will receive one at home to try out. All the products were so good, hard to make a choice!

Then we had Easter weekend. We spent some time with Curtis’s family and then my mom’s for brunch on the Sunday. It was overall a relaxing weekend, we even took in a movie. Curtis and I saw Isle of Dogs at our local theatre.

And I also went to Playdome with my blogging friend Mary. It’s an indoor carnival in BC Place. Was a fun night!

Last weekend was my dad’s birthday. We went out for dinner and cake with the family. My mom also picked up the cutest cake from Soirette!

And then this week I literally was at home everyday plugging away. We got takeout from Peaked Pies (OMG so goooood!), took Oscar to the beach with my mom and just hanging out.

Went for a walk with Curtis on the odd sunny day and ran errands. Nothing really exciting. But next week my events calendar starts up again. I also hope to see some friends soon and catch up!

What are your weekend plans? I hope to get more work done, see friends and workout. I know, so boring haha.
