A Recap of My Christmas Holiday | 2019

I’ll start off with saying Happy New Year! 2019 was a great year but did have a few up and down moments. Started off not so great, but ended on a high! 2020 is when we welcome our new family member in March and planning on buying another apartment later in the year.

Looking back, we managed to go on a few amazing trips, such as Italy for a month, Dublin, Tofino (twice), the Okanagan and more small trips around BC. Hopefully, later in 2020, we are able to travel on some short trips with the baby, maybe Montreal or to California… fingers crossed!

Ok, so let’s recap my little holiday break. We spent time with family, saw a few friends before Christmas and settled some more into our new place. Started to set-up the nursery/office, condo life in Vancouver, we are trying to maximize our space in our rental condo. I will be sharing a nursery tour later on, along with an apartment tour once we are all done. Curtis and I still have to set-up some bookshelves and we have a new couch arriving later in January that I am VERY excited about.

Over the holidays we went to Van Dusen Festival of Lights with my family, spent Christmas Day with my family and ate a lot over the day as one must do. Celebrated Curtis’s birthday by going on my family’s annual “bar” crawl and I met up with a few friends before Christmas.

This year, our New Year’s Eve was pretty low-key. We went to see the new Star Wars film at 6 PM and ordered in fried chicken for dinner afterwards. As I’m in my 7-month of this pregnancy, I’m beginning to get sleepy early on in the evening (which is funny because I end up not being able to sleep through the night), so we didn’t want to go out late or spend an extravagant amount of money to go for dinner somewhere. I’d rather stay at home or hang with a few friends at someone’s home. That’s my perfect NYE besides maybe being on a beach somewhere.. maybe next year Curtis?

Today, I’m starting to get back into the swing of things after the holidays, planning out my content for on the blog and Youtube. If you have anything you want me to cover on either channel, please leave a comment below! I’m excited to share more personal stories and film videos around this pregnancy and our home.

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday!! Share how you spent your time off in the comments.
