Happy Friday!!! Another Friday, another weekend will go by, most likely too quickly! Was it me, or did this week go by so slowly? It was back to the gloom this week in Vancouver, rain for the past four days πŸ™ Anyways before reading the fun links I share for Friday Roundup, I’ll recap my week!

I was lucky enough to attend a dinner hosted by Canadian Lentils on Tuesday. FREAKIN’ DELICIOUS! The chefs were Trevor Bird (Fable Kitchen) and Pino Posteraro (Cioppinos). They came up with such a lovely menu from canapΓ©s, appetizers, a joint entrΓ©e and two desserts, alllll using lentils! We learned a lot about lentils, how many farmers in Canada (7,000!), heard a lentil farmer speak about his farm and drank a lot of wine!

My favourite dishΒ was the lobster tail with red lentils that were almost like risotto and the desserts of course haha.

The rest of my week was working out, painting our apartment and watching House of Cards. This weekend will be more painting, two events and buying a new vacuum! You know you’ve gotten older when a new vacuum is super exciting! The events I’ll be going to areΒ a brunch at Rocky Mountain Flatbread and celebrating Wildtale‘s 2 year anniversary. Can’t wait to eat!

We also watched LA92, The Wizard of Lies and finished the latest season of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. And at work we had a food truck day, so I had pizza!

I also need to catch up with my blog posts, I have a plethora of beauty/skin care posts to share, travel guides for Europe and recipes! So stay tuned for some fun content πŸ™‚ I’ll be honest, I need to withdraw in May, just wasΒ a whirlwind first few months of the year.Β Let me know in the comments, what content you’d like to see more of.

That lobster tail dish looks absolutely divine! The other dishes looked pretty yummy too!
Agree with the hoping that the lousy weather gets better! Over here in Ontario it’s been fairly rainy, but hopefully June will bring in more sunshine! I gotta get myself more of that Vit D!
