Weekend Recap

Hi everyone,

Did you all have a great Halloween weekend? Thankfully the weather held out for the most part here in Vancouver on Friday night. Curtis and I enjoyed taking a stroll around the block and seeing all the kids in costumes. We don’t get any trick-or-treaters in our building so we miss out on seeing all of the kids. It seemed to be Elsa from Frozen was a popular choice along with some old fashioned ones like witches, ghosts, animals, pumpkins etc. Our nieces (H & A) went as Dorothy from Wizard of Oz and Itsy Bitsy Spider, they looked so cute! Piper of course dressed up for Halloween and was a dragon.

Friday night; we grabbed White Spot for dinner (had a hankering for a burger), watched some movies and TV and relaxed. Saturday, during the day, I did some mundane things like cleaning and then my sister came over for dinner and afterwards the two of us went for a dessert date to Sweet Obsession on West 16th. YUM!

Sunday we went to my mom’s for lunch, she made delicious prawn dumplings in an Asian chicken broth with cabbage and shredded chicken. Perfect for a rainy day, and as always had lots of other goodies to snack on. Boy do I snack haha! We stopped by CB2 on the way home and grabbed a Walrus pillow I’ve been eyeing, it’s really cute!

We made a quick chorizo, chicken paella for dinner and really enjoyed that while watching our Sunday shows like Walking Dead, Anthony Bourdain: Part Unknown, Real Housewives (don’t judge), and HBO’s Olive Kitteridge mini-series.

This week will be boring, I’ll be focused on studying for a test next Sunday, yes you heard that right, Sunday. Curtis and I will finish the bathroom and do some painting.

What are your plans? xo
