2-Ingredient Nutella Mousse

Yeah, I made a dessert with Nutella! You know, that delectable chocolate hazelnut spread that you literally could eat the whole jar in a sitting. The one that Italians eat on toast (for breakfast!), or the one you eat waffles or well just about anything. I buy a jar and in my house that is gone in 3 days. I’m not kidding, Curtis is a Nutella addict that I simply avoid buying jars anymore. Except if I’m making a Nutella mousse.

But I wanted to make a super easy dessert, using only 2 ingredients! Yes, thta’s right, just 2 ingredients! I also top mine with a dollop of whip cream and some crumble Ferrero Rocher haha. Why not, life’s too short! I also sometimes put hazelnut wafers too on top with the whip cream.

You can make this Nutella mousse the day before a party, let it sit in the fridge overnight. It’s decadent, creamy, rich, addictive… And there is no eggs! Pretty amazing right? I’d put the whip cream on just before serving up.

Ok now onto the recipe!
2-Ingredient Nutella Mousse
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup nutella (or other chocolate hazelnut spread)
- Dollop of whipped cream
- Garnishes: crushed hazelnuts (ferrero rocher or hazelnut wafers)
- Add the nutella to the bowl of a standing mixer or a large mixing bowl.
- Whip using the whisk attachment for about 1 minute.
- Add in the heavy cream and mix with the whisk attachment on medium high speed for 1 minute.
- Scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl and mix for another 1-2 minutes or until soft peaks form.
- Transfer the mixture to a bowl and place in the fridge for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- Garnish with whipped cream, hazelnuts, or ferrero rocher if desired.
Just double the amount for every two servings.

Nutella mousse with just two ingredients sounds so simple. Have you tried adding a pinch of salt for extra flavor?
