friday roundup april 2016 a life well consumed
This is a Friday Roundup for the last two weeks.  I’m sorry I didn’t post one last Friday, I was in Palm Springs, enjoying the sunshine and forgot to post it until that night. Can you blame me? I was on holiday, in between jobs and wanting to not think about blogging or work. Sometimes you just have to have those weeks. I started my new job on Tuesday, new commute, new coworkers, new atmosphere. It was so overwhelming I got in the car after work (Curtis picked me up) and cried. I don’t know what came over me, maybe just all the anxiety and nervousness? Has anyone else experienced this?

Anyways, this weekend will be a busy one! Meal planning (really exciting haha!), meeting with a couple of blogging friends, recipes, taking Piper to the beach, sleeping in and maybe seeing a movie. I haven’t seen a movie in theatres in what feels like forever. Any recommendations?

I’m also going to start posting and sharing my weight loss journey. I put on a few pounds in the last couple of years. It’s something I’m not happy with and struggle with. I will lose weight and then put it on again. I know there are some of you on the same boat and feel if I share what I’m going through, maybe we can work together on it. And now that I am planning a wedding and summer is upon us, I really want to get back in shape. I want to fit into my closet again and feel confident as I am. Sure Curtis loves me for who I am and finds me sexy as ever, but I don’t. I have those days where I feel amazing and then I see a picture of myself and that all disappears. I know it’s silly and something I will find ridiculous when I’m 90, but hey I want to feel good about me NOW.

Anyone else feel this way? I want to hear your experiences or tips to losing weight and self-confidence!

Thanks for listening and now onto what I enjoyed on the web the last couple of weeks!

I’m jealous that you were in Palm Springs, and inspired that you are getting to meal planning this weekend. I SO want to make that a habit but I really struggle.

Hi! So glad i found your blog. The pictures of food alone make me happy. 🙂 Can’t wait to try the Sticky Honey Mustard Chicken. I’ll likely swap the honey for something else. Like you, I’ve gained a few, so I’m really watching the carbs. Girl, it’s a battle!!!! But, I’m determined.

Love your blog and will subscribe.

Also, would love to be on the roundup one day.

Meal planning for this week mean BBQ out since it is going to be beautiful. Matter of fact everything revolves around outside the next few days.
