What's Cookin' – Asparagus

Hi everyone,

asparagus
Spring is here and that means it is now asparagus season! This is when this vegetable tastes its best in the months of March to May. Overall rule of thumb for this vegetable is don’t overcook it!

Besides being tasty, this little spear like vegetable also has many nutritional benefits. It’s packed with vitamins A, C, E & K and is a great source of fiber and folate. Folate helps the brain fight cognitive decline if paired with the vitamin B12 found in fish, poultry, meat and dairy. It’s also a detoxifier, a natural diuretic and is packed with antioxidants.

Now onto the recipes that showcase this great vegetable!
