10 Face Cleansers Everyone Should Try

As you may know about me, I love skincare. Actually obsessed but whose keeping score? I’m always on the hunt for new products that suite my skin and do what they need. And with the market ever evolving and so many new brands coming to stores (thanks to Instagram!), I’ve discovered so many great new face cleansers to oils.
We all know that, in addition to daily sunscreen, washing your face is the most important part of any skincare routine—but we all use different products to get the job done.
Picking the best face cleansers for your skin type is a key part of nailing down the right beauty regimen. Face wash works to remove dirt and excess oils that slowly build up on your face throughout the day, while also scrubbing off stubborn makeup and sunscreen.
Some of these are available at drugstores and some are more brands that are found online or at Sephora type stores. I of course do love Cetaphil, but I find that is in everyone’s cupboard being a cult fav.
You can also check my latest in the Monthly Beauty Buys series here. And a big hit on the blog, the Best Mascaras of All Time. I’ll be updating that list in the near future, but I do stand behind these choices still.
The 10 Face Cleansers Everyone Should Try Out

1. Ole Henriksen Wonderfeel Double Cleanser
I love this cleanser so much. It feels great on my skin, takes off all my makeup and smells like candy! I mean what more could you want?

2. Garnier SkinActive Pore Purifying Clay Cleanser + Mask
I like to switch up my cleansers in the shower and this one can either be a face wash or quick mask. The price point is also great, it’s under $10.

3. Sekkisei Cleansing Oil
Having a cleansing oil is something you should consider. It removes a lot of makeup and impurities, doesn’t strip your skin and feels gentle. I like to use this one at night and sometimes even as the first step in a double cleanse.

4. First Aid Beauty Pure Skin Face Cleanser
I picked this up at Sephora on a whim and instantly fell in love with the brand. It’s gentle, it foams up a bit but doesn’t strip my skin.

5. Glossier Milk Jelly Cleanser
We all know my love for Glossier (you can see my post here). And this cleanser was one of my first purchases and I still enjoy using it.

6. La Roche-Posay Toleriane Cleanser
This line is fantastic, I really also like the moisturizer. It’s a great drugstore brand that creates quality products for all skin conditions and this is their latest line that focuses on prebiotics. It’s geared towards ultra sensitive and reactive skin.

7. Burt’s Bees Cleansing Oil
As you can tell by the amount left in this bottle, it’s one of my go-tos. I love that it’s 100% natural, smells good and has argan and coconut oil. So your skin is left feeling hydrated after being cleansed. Burt’s Bees is also sold at most drugstores and has a nice range of products.

8. Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Fash Wash Foam
I have mild acne and I find this cleanser to help a lot. It has a calming effect and I like using tea tree oil. It doesn’t leave any residue on my face and takes any excess oils away. Bonus is that it’s vegan!

9. Neutrogena Hydro Boost Cleansing Gel
I’ve been enjoying this line, using the serum too daily before Curtis stole it from myself. This cleanser is nice to use in the shower and leaves my skin feeling soft but rids it of oil. Also another inexpensive drugstore cleanser.

10. Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel
Another great product, it’s actually a little of a cult fav. I’ve been using it on and off for a year and find that it’s gentle on my skin. It’s a soap free foaming cleanser. It’s extremely nice and soft on the skin. It has cucumber in it to calm skin irritation.
