Friday Roundup: August 3

I honestly can’t believe we are into August now while writing up this week’s Friday Roundup. August?!? I only feel like our summer is beginning. The last month was a hard one for our house, lots of emotions and time spent with family.

As some of you may know, my father-in-law passed away on Monday after a six-month battle with terminal cancer. He was originally given two months without treatment, took treatment hoping for a miracle or more time but was ultimately only given six months. He is now at peace and my husband was able to spend time with him and be by his side when he passed.

So the last two weeks have been mostly just spending time with family. We did get down to Olympia but had to return only after a day. We plan on going back down to finish our trip later this summer. Can’t wait to share that with you!

We also have spent time at the pool, I bought an amazing pillow at Anthropologie and just hanging around town.

And went for lunch at Granville Island and checked out the new Popina spot.

This weekend is Vancouver Pride, so the city is alive! It’s also a long weekend with BC Day on Monday. I’m hoping we can spend time at the beach and relax, enjoy the sun and see friends.
