8 Boots You Need This Fall

A shoe-obsessed shopper (any woman) knows that no fall wardrobe is complete without a few pairs of boots. Booties, knee-highs, rain boots and midis. Every season I just want to add a new friend for my existing ones. I prefer pairs that can take me from day to day or into the evenings with a cute dress.

Every closet needs a great pair of rain boots in Vancouver or better known in the fall and winter as Raincouver. I wear mine more often than not because I value my feet dry. I love suede styles, but they are hard to wear here. Ankle booties are another favourite of mine; they are typically easy to dress down and then up for a night out.

Here are 8 great options for this fall and winter. Snow is fast approaching; some places have already got their first snowfall (I’m looking at you Alberta). Boots are a piece that says to me fall especially paired with a great cozy sweater. These two items become part of my weekend staples. I know that not everyone is a millionaire (me especially!) and I like to keep on budget. Price is generally a factor in my decision-making; I’m the one who buys booties in the summer when they are on sale. But a good pair of leather boots that are a great neutral and are ever so comfy are always a great splurge. Something I do not every regret, I hate having sore feet with blisters. Taking care of your shoes is also important for their lifespan. Wipe them down after wearing and re-spray with protector often.
