Our Family Halloween Costumes of 2021!

Our Family Halloween Costumes of 2021

If you follow me on Instagram, you would have seen our family costumes for Halloween this year. I thought I would share them on here with a quick recap of Rowan’s first trick or treating experience! I can’t believe how tiny she was last year.

I found Rowan’s tiger costume at Winner’s and then our costumes followed suit. She had no problem wearing it to her classes during the week, her Halloween party at our local community center and for trick or treating! Thank goodness, I’m not crafty at coming up with anything last minute. A bonus was that her costume was nice and thick and helped keep her warm too, I paired it with her cheetah print coat.

Since we live downtown, we decided to drive a few minutes out to another neighborhood where a lot of families live and I would say almost every house was decorated and handing out candy. It was fantastic and we agreed we should go back next year with her. Rowan picked it up real quick after I’d say 2-3 houses she knew to go up, hold open her bag for a candy chute, or for someone to drop candy in it. Did she know what she was collecting? Nope, we don’t let her have candy at home, but she thought she was collecting amazing objects.

At the end of two hours (we couldn’t believe she lasted that long), she did not want anyone to take away her VERY full bag of candy. I had to even clear out half of it and she loaded it up again. All in all, it was a great, fun evening! The weather was perfect, no raindrops insight, a neighbourhood of dressed children, people laughing, homes decorated to the nines, and a very happy toddler.

How was your Halloween? Did you go out trick or treating? Did anyone go to any fun parties?
