Monthly Beauty Buys: September 2018

Monthly Beauty Buys | September 2018
Hello lovelies! It’s been a hot minute since my last monthly beauty buys post. I’m now back into the swing of things for the fall and excited to share all the products I’ve been using lately!

This one is a mix of makeup and skincare I used all summer. Well if you do see my Instagram stories, you’ll know how many products I test out and use. These are literally only a handful, so I’m trying to share more and more on here and on Instagram.

Being in my 30s I’m settling into choosing products that are simple yet effective. When it comes to makeup, I’m more leaning towards a glowing, radiant complexion than a full-face of makeup. Skincare is all about anti-aging, getting my adult acne under control (the worse!) and restorative.

1. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer – Oil Free

As someone with problem skin I was concerned this wouldn’t be enough coverage, or would cause my skin to breakout due to the “moisturizing” component. Not at all. It somehow matifies, brightens, covers and doesn’t clog pores. A little bit goes along way.

2. Zue Beauty Restoring Night Cream

This cream is made with quinoa, an ingredient that deeply moisturizes, improves smoothness and elasticity, boosts natural collagen production, and promotes even skin tone. Seaweed and gotu kola help cleanse acne-prone skin, reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles, and (thanks to their high antioxidant content) help protect skin from the aggression of free radicals. This natural formula delivers powerful overnight protection to your skin.

It’s a cruelty-free brand, it’s vegan, gluten-free, GMO- free. This Zue night cream is so light and refreshing. It’s moisturizing, but not heavy.

3. Plume Science Lash Serum

This is a 100% natural lash and brow enhancing serum that delivers impressive results with zero side effects. After only a few days I noticed increased volume in my typically short lashes. Now, though, my lashes are significantly longer and the difference is really visible – especially when I wear mascara.

4. Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real Mascara

I use this product each time I apply makeup (I work from home now so some days I don’t leave the house). I have switched away but always come back. I do wish it made your lashes ‘plumper’ or ‘thicker’ but I do like the less over done look it gives you. It also doesn’t smudge on me which is very important.

Recently, I have bought the Glossier Lash Slick and a couple of other mascaras, so verdict will come on those at a later date.

5. Stila Cosmetics Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow

I went to a Stila event and came home with a couple of these two years ago, since then I have repurchased this. It’s a long-wearing, sparkle eyeshadow with a lightweight, water-infused texture. I find it glides onto the eyelid with minimal effort and then dries smoothly. I love the shades Diamond Dust, Rose Gold and Fairy Tale. I also use it as an eyeliner sometimes.

Have you tried any of these out? Any favs? Let me know what you want to see in the next monthly beauty buys.
