Weekend Recap

Happy Monday!

What a great couple of days, the weather was fantastic, we accomplished a lot of activities and generally had a good time. Friday night started with us having dinner with my sister and her boyfriend at Left Bank.

This is a new restaurant on Denman Street and is French Nouveau Cuisine.

Afterwards had drinks at The Three Brits (won’t return), then made our way up Davie Street and after finding everything full or undesirable, we decided to get a bite to eat at Bestie.

Unfortunately, it was full and last call was at 1am. Well our option B is always Lucy’s Diner (Open 24 hours) on Main Street. They serve breakfast all day, along with a lot of other classic diner menu items.

Saturday, we went for brunch at The Farmer’s Apprentice with my parents, which I highly recommend and am planning to return for dinner soon!

After we took the VW Beetle out for a drive and stopped at Spanish Banks Dog Beach for Piper.

Drove into the city and checked out West End General Store in the West End, then had an early dinner at Peckinpah in Gastown (again won’t return, Piper enjoyed it though). Our night ended with lazily watching TV and movies on the couch. Sunday we woke up early and while getting ready my awesome neighbour brought over these delicious tarts (Thanks R.!). We then hit up Stanley Park and explored the trails that we both haven’t done ever or since we were kids. Ended with us walking the whole seawall that was surprisingly not busy for a sunny Sunday.

I really appreciate having this urban oasis in Vancouver. Afterwards, we made a mistake and visited Granville Island on a Sunday afternoon, but I was determined to check out Delish General Store. Not disappointed, it is a great addition and carries many cute, vintage home goods.

Sunday night usually consists of us going to my mom’s for dinner and she never disappoints in the food.
