Five reasons why I love using Food Blogger Pro
This is the start of a new series I’m introducing on A Life Well Consumed. I am always on the lookout for tips and tools in regards to blogging. And I occasionally get an email with questions on how I take photos, what tools or plugins do I use etc.

So why not share it on here! I’m going to start off with using Food Blogger Pro as a great paid resource. It’s not free, but one that I have no problem in subscribing to monthly (or annually)

When I started my blog, I didn’t know what I was doing. I would post daily, but I wasn’t getting any traffic. I was treating my blog like a hobby without any strategy. After a couple of frustrating months of low traffic and low engagement from readers, I decided to get serious. I knew bloggers were making money, but I had no idea how.

Subscribing to FBP is to me worth it, because they provide an awesome community for all bloggers, food or not. I use their tools and look forward to their weekly emails full of tips or resources. The community page is pretty awesome too, the forums are extremely active and supportive.

I spent a lot of time (and still do!) researching blogging techniques, but I found myself totally overwhelmed. Information overload is real! I was so glad when I found Food Blogger Pro! It’s a website that covered all the fundamental principles I needed to grow my blog. And best of all, it doesn’t matter if you are a food blogger or not, the tips and tools can apply to anyone.
Five Reasons Why I love Using Food Blogger ProWhat is Food Blogger Pro?

Food Blogger Pro is an awesome website that teaches you how to start, grow and monetize your blog. It was founded by Lindsay and Bjork Ostrom, the couple behind the very successful food blog Pinch Of Yum.

Food Blogger Pro has over 300, easy to follow tutorial videos and a very active community forum. The videos make it super easy to learn technical skills and apply them to your blog. The community is a great place to get individual attention from industry experts and other bloggers. They are always uploading new relevant content and tools.

What’s Included?

They have a course tracker you can use to work your way through the content. This helped me know which areas to focus on. There were some things I could skip because I had already started my blog, but they do cover everything from the very beginning. And you are notified when a new tool or video series are uploaded.

These are some of the key things I learned that really helped me move my blogging career forward:

Learning all this was not the only benefit of joining Food Blogger Pro. I also made friends and connected with a bunch of amazing bloggers and industry experts in the community forums. When a technical issues comes up on the blog, I can pop in the forums and someone will have some advice for me. How great is that? Bloggers helping bloggers! And there are meetups starting to occur in cities with FBP community members!

Worth it?

Absolutely! In my opinion Food Blogger Pro is one of the best investments a blogger can make when they are starting out. There are so many other subscription blogging sites, but I have a better vibe from them. They are honest, they share their income reports and struggles but not in a “salesman” way.

They also don’t spam you constantly with upgrading to a new course or selling you on products. Instead they provide you with information and live Q & A video sessions. I’m the person who really hates BS and can’t stand fake people and trust me, that’s not here.
